Calculated dates

All dates follow the calculated Umm al-Qura calendar. The start of a month depends on sighting the new moon, so the actual day may differ by one day. We announce the start of Ramadan and the Eid days in the mosque and on our channels.

The Islamic day begins at sunset on the evening before. The first taraweeh prayer is therefore on the evening before the first day of fasting.
